Mokume-gane is a centuries-old metalsmithing technique that originated in Japan. This method involves fusing layers of metal and then manipulating those layers by filing, hammering, twisting, stamping, etc. to create an unique and organic pattern. Mokume gane translates closely to "wood grain metal" or "wood eye metal" in Japanese and describes the way metal takes on the appearance of natural wood grain.
This ring is crafted with 18k yellow gold, 14k red gold and silver in an Oak pattern. It has slightly rounded profile and comfort fit interior.
